"OUT OF THIS WORLD"

Welcome to Scout Camp 2009

The boys had wonderful time at scout camp this year. They got to do archery, shooting, swimming, hiking, and many other fun things that boys like to do.

The scouts also prepared a skit for all the parents to see. It was based around the theme. Brent's had martians that they had to hide from and then they scared them away. Very cute.

Alex was the Mayer in his skit. Martians came to try to take over the world.

The Scouts instead taught them all the scouting rules and in the end the martians wanted to join them. So one asked the Mayer to bring them to his 'Den' Leader.

They all had such a great time even though it rained 3 1/2 of the 5 days. At least they didn't get sun burned....

They did however get plenty of ticks on them. We had to do daily tick check. No permanent ticks until the last day. One tick found Brenty to be very, very tasty. We tried multiple ways to get the tick out, but it was stubborn or Brenty was just to delicious to let go of. Finally, we did get it off, but it was an adventure. That might be the part he remembers the most.

Camp ended, shirts are filthy, boys are exhausted and the experience was truly 'out of this world'.
